Surgery & Anesthesia

When surgery is necessary, your pet’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. Our surgical services are performed with careful planning, modern monitoring, and a compassionate approach designed to minimize stress and support a smooth recovery. From routine procedures to more complex surgeries, we take the time to evaluate each patient individually and explain every step of the process so you can feel confident in your pet’s care.

We offer a range of surgical procedures, including:
  • Spay & Neuter

  • Soft Tissue Surgery
Procedures involving the skin, muscles, and internal organs, including mass removals and other non-orthopedic surgeries.
  • Internal Surgery
Surgical treatment of internal conditions affecting organs such as the stomach, intestines, bladder, or reproductive system.
  • Caesarean Section (C-Section)
Surgical assistance during difficult deliveries when the health of the mother or puppies is at risk.

Because Your Pet Is Family

We know that trusting someone with your pet’s care — especially during surgery — isn’t easy. That’s why every patient is treated with the same attention, gentleness, and respect we’d want for our own pets. From careful monitoring to comforting care before and after a procedure, your pet’s well-being is always at the heart of what we do.

These moments with our patients remind us why compassionate care matters — because your pet is more than a patient, they’re family.
Anesthesia & Monitoring

All surgical procedures are performed using general or local anesthesia, depending on the needs of your pet and the procedure being performed. Prior to surgery, we may recommend diagnostic testing to ensure your pet is healthy enough for anesthesia.

During surgery, pets are closely monitored to track vital signs and maintain safety and comfort. Pain management and post-operative care are an important part of every procedure.

Cold Laser Therapy for Recovery & Pain Management

Cold laser therapy is a non-invasive treatment used to help reduce pain, inflammation, and promote healing. It’s often recommended as part of a recovery plan following surgery, injury, or for pets managing chronic pain conditions.
This therapy uses targeted light energy to stimulate tissue repair and improve circulation — without discomfort or sedation.

Cold laser therapy may be used to support:
  • Post-surgical recovery
  • Soft tissue injuries
  • Joint pain and inflammation
  • Arthritis and mobility issues
  • Wound healing

Treatments are gentle, quick, and well-tolerated by most pets. Many patients find the sessions relaxing, making it an excellent option for ongoing therapeutic care.

Compassionate Care Before, During & After Surgery

We understand that surgery can feel overwhelming. Our team is committed to providing clear communication, gentle handling, and attentive aftercare to help your pet heal comfortably.

If you have questions about a recommended procedure or would like to schedule a surgical consultation, please contact Reese Veterinary Hospital. We’re here to support you and your pet every step of the way.
